How do I set up MFA?

Two Factor Authentication Setup

Open your web browser on your computer (Edge, Chrome, Firefox) and check your email for a message that says “Invitation to enroll in Multifactor Authentication”. If you don’t see this email, check your spam filters. Click the orange button, labeled “Enroll in Multifactor Authentication”.

  1. You cannot open this email on your phone because you’ll be unable to scan the QR code.
  2. This link only works one time. If you are having difficulties, please reach out and we can send another email with a new link.

This will redirect you to the QR code page. We need to scan this QR code with a special mobile app, called an Authenticator. There are many authenticators you can use, but we’ll show you how to do it using the Google Authenticator.

  1. Note: Do not use your phone camera to scan this QR code yet. This will not work.

Open up your phone’s app store (either App Store for Apple devices, or Google Play Store for android devices). Search for “Google Authenticator”, and find the icon shown below. Hit the “Get” or “Download” button, or if you already have the app downloaded on your phone, click the “Open” button.

Once it’s finished downloading, open up the Google Authenticator app. In the bottom right you’ll see a plus button. Click that button and then select “Scan a QR code”. This will open up a camera view. Now scan the QR code on your browser

After scanning the QR code, a record will show on your authenticator with a 6-digit code and a timer. The code changes every time the timer runs out. Input the code in your web browser before the timer runs out, else you’ll have to wait for a new code to show.

After inputting the code, you’re all set! You can close the browser. Upon login, you will periodically be asked to provide this code for security purposes.

Starting Monday, May 1st, users will be required to be signed up with an authenticator to access the application.
