How do I manage users in Grassroots?

In Grassroots, Staff Managers are allowed to manage system users. This article explains how to create new users.

Create a User
 

1.  On the navigation sidebar, click 'Settings'.

2.  Select 'Users'.

3.  To add multiple users, click 'Upload Users.

4.  Select a file and upload.

     Please note:  to ensure correct data format, please download the template file first.  

5.  To add a single user, click 'Invite User'. 

6.  Fill out all of the user information, select the role, and click 'Save'.

     Please note:  client selection is only available when creating Client Manager and Client User roles.

7.  User will receive a welcome email and will complete the registration process. 

Edit a User
 

In Grassroots, you're able to edit all aspects of the user, including access level and clients (where appropriate).  This article explains how to edit a user. 

1.  On the navigation sidebar, click 'Settings'.

2.  Select 'Users'.

3.  Click on the user you need to edit.

4.  Click 'Edit User'.

5.  From here, you can change contact information, change role/access, and remove any clients (where appropriate).

6.  Once you applied the necessary changes, click 'Update User'. 

Resend the Welcome Email/Reset MFA
 

To troubleshoot any user access issues, Grassroots allows you to either resend the welcome email (for new users) or reset their MFA (existing user).

1.  On the navigation sidebar, click 'Settings'.

2.  Select 'Users'.

3.  Click on the user you want to resend the welcome email for or reset MFA.

4.  To resend the welcome email, click 'Resend Email' button.  This will generate a new welcome email and the user will be able to finish their registration. 

 

5.  To reset the users MFA, click 'Reset MFA' and from there, user can update their prefered MFA method. 

Delete User
 

If a user no longer needs access to Grassroots, you can remove them by going through the delete user flow. 

1.  On the navigation sidebar, click 'Settings'.

2.  Select 'Users'.

3.  Click on the user you want to delete.

4.  Click 'Delete' button.

5.  User will now be removed from the system. 

Export User Data
 

This article explains how to export user data. 

1.  On the navigation sidebar, click 'Settings'.

2.  Select 'Users'.

3.  Apply any needed filters.

4.  Click 'Export'.

5.  System will download the csv file.
