How do I create a RECURRING campaign in Iris?

This article summarizes how a user can create a recurring campaign. These are campaigns that you can automate to go out based on parameters that you set:

Recurring Campaigns

Create a Recurring Campaign

  1. On the navigation side panel, click on ‘Recurring’ tab.
  2. Click the ‘Create Recurring Campaign’ button.
  3. Plan

    1. Fill out campaign title, select message type (SMS or MMS), select your audience and any suppressions.  You can either select an existing suppression or add inline suppression.
      1. For clients with multiple sending numbers, you will need to select a sending number you want the campaign to be sent from.  For clients with a single sending number, the system will automatically pre-select the number for you.  The field will be read-only.
  4. Build

    1. Enter the campaign message, add in any personalization.  To include click tracking, check ‘Enable Click Tracking’, enter destination URL and select shortened URL from available options.
    2. To schedule the recurring campaign, select the time you want the daily campaigns to start sending at, select the start and end date for the recurring campaign.  If you want the campaign to run indefinitely, check ‘No End Date’.
    3. Please note:  after the first send, the recipients automatically go into a 30 day cool down period.  After the cool down period ends, if they still fit the parameters of the selected audience, the system will send the campaign message again.
  5. Preview

    1. On the preview page, you can send out test messages to the client specific test numbers.  This allows you to see how the message will look on different handsets.  You can make as many edits and send out as many test messages while the recurring campaign is in the draft status.
  6. Execute the campaign
    1. Once you are ready to make the recurring campaign live, click the ‘Save & Execute’ button.  Once the start date is reached, the system will create daily campaigns at the specified time.
    2. Please note:  the selected audience totals may change on the daily basis due to opt-ins or opt-outs that were received the previous day.

View Recurring Campaign Details

  1. On the navigation side panel, click on ‘Recurring’ tab.
  2. Click on the recurring campaign name you want to view details for.
    1. On the campaign details page, you can view the snapshot of the campaign details (title, client, audience…).
  3. To view deliverability statistics, click on ‘Performance Metrics’ tab.
    1. On the performance metrics page, you can see various deliverability metrics and view the list of all daily campaigns that this recurring campaign has created.

  2. Click on the three dot menu for options menu and select ‘Pause’.   Confirm that you want to pause the recurring campaign.
