How do I create a campaign in Iris?

This article will take you through all the steps to create a campaign in Iris.

Campaigns

Create a Campaign

  1. On the navigation side panel, click ‘Campaigns’.
  2. Click ‘Add Campaign’.
  3. Plan
    1. Fill out campaign title, select message type (SMS or MMS), select your audience and any suppressions.  You can either select an existing suppression or add inline suppression.
      1. Please note: campaign title must be unique.  The system will flag it when you attempt to save a campaign as a draft or fully execute a campaign.  You will need to adjust the campaign title in order to fully execute the campaign.
      2. For clients with multiple sending numbers, you will need to select a sending number you want the campaign to be sent from.  For clients with a single sending number, the system will automatically pre-select the number for you.  The field will be read-only.
  4. Build
    1. Enter the campaign message, add in any personalization, and select the start date & time.  To include click tracking, check ‘Enable Click Tracking’, enter destination URL and select shortened URL from available options.
      1. Please note: timezone prioritization is automatically enabled and the campaign messages will be sent out based on the recipient’s timezone, EST being of the highest priority.
  5. Preview
    1. On the preview page, you can send out test messages to the client specific test numbers.  This allows you to see how the message will look on different handsets.  You can make as many edits and send out as many test messages while the recurring campaign is in the draft status.
  6. Execute the campaign
    1. Once you are ready to make the campaign live, click the ‘Save & Execute’ button.  Once the start date is reached, the system will create daily campaigns at the specified time.
