How are contacts managed in Iris?

Iris as an A2P texting platform that will only be utilized to contact recipients who have opted in to receive text messages from an organization. Here are some key things to know around contact uploads and management in Iris:

  1. Contact Uploads

    1. Upload contacts using the "Upload Contacts" button; please use the csv format template provided for you upon upload.  
    2. Custom data points: you can add as many custom data points as you need in your contact list; these are important and will be used to build out your segments later on 
    3. PLEASE NOTE: Upon upload, contacts will be sent through our "welcomer" and will receive text messages welcoming them to the program that they have opted into.  This is an automatic process that will occur upon upload
    4. You will also see the global and client statuses:
      1. Global Statuses:
        1. Classified
        2. Pending
        3. Unclassified
        4. Opted Out
      2. Client Statuses
        1. Pending
        2. New
        3. Welcome Sent
        4. Welcome Failed
        5. Opted In 
        6. Opted Out 
  2. Customize Grid

    1. This function allows you to choose which custom data points you would like to see on your contacts grid.  Again, custom data points will all be determined by the headers and data uploaded in your contact lists. 
  3. Upload Opt Outs

    1. Upload opt-outs in appropriate csv format
    2. You have the option to globally opt out numbers across ALL CLIENTS if needed
